WHY YOU JOINED ROTARY

I grew up with rotary from a young age. My father was involved with the Rotary club of Williamstown (now Bendigo Sandhurst), and my mother was always apart of Inner Wheel.

If you are interested in giving back to the community, I suggest popping into our club one Tuesday and see how you can get invovled.

Rotary is a small contribution of your time to make a big difference in people’s lives

WHY YOU JOINED ROTARY

The Rotary Club of Yarraville is a smaller club of like minded people wanting to achieve good things, which is ideal for me because I

joined Rotary so I could get involved and be hands on with worthwhile community projects at a local level ...

but as Rotary is a World organisation, this enables me to be involved with national and international projects through a range of collective channels which is very satisfying as well.

WHY YOU JOINED ROTARY

Anne Parkes calls into Dimmies and asked for me. She mentioned she was trying to start a Rotary club. She said she was having trouble getting members felt sorry for her and agreed to join. Very glad to have done so.

WHY YOU JOINED ROTARY

Yarraville didn’t have its own Rotary club serving our suburb and I thought that we should. Given Rotary’s proud history of achievements and the opportunity to make a difference in our community today.

WHY YOU JOINED ROTARY

I joined Rotary because I wanted to help others who need it.

The Rotary club of Yarraville has made me feel more connected to my local community by getting to know more local people my age, but also getting me involved in local events and learning about local community organisations.

The reason I have stayed a member of the Rotary club of Yarraville for the last ten years is:

The members are a great bunch of people my age, who have fun, welcome my family, dismiss the formalities and do hands on projects which really help our local community.  The wider Rotary International organisation gives us credibility and exposure to international projects when we want it.
